Nothing out of the ordinary anymore in this country. The authorities have completely lost it.

a lot of Indian accountants/IT workers buying them up. I am sure they are nice people and neighbours but some might find them a tad boring.

They ain't buying them to live in, long term, they will rent them out to the soft white underbelly - poor little rich kids, who in turn bleed their hard working parents dry for a deposit and extortionate rent.

Late starter? My first was at 35 and most recent at 44. Which incidentally is not late at all around where I live. Plenty of older fathers than me at the school gates.

But I live in London. Not the gentrified east end but have plenty of friends and acquaintances that do. They have their kids at primary school and have no intention of moving out of Hackney as they go to Secondary school next year.

If you have been around that way recently, Broadway Market and the like you can see why. The days of living a hipster life in Hackney and getting out when your kids are young are over. The middle class that lives there now are staying put. You need to get with it jfk.

Used to live in Brentwood. It was full of wankers.

Apparently it still is.

I was looking at Chobham manor next to the ground, what’s everyones view on that area once fully built?

Looks swanky but probably going to be souless. New builds are fine when they are in small development in areas that have character but try and steer clear large scale ones. But that said it depends on your age. For a bachelor pad it might be fine. But a lot of Indian accountants/IT workers buying them up. I am sure they are nice people and neighbours but some might find them a tad boring.

I agree Brexit wont fix it. But it will help. Lost count of the amount of Somalian taxi drivers who have told me they claimed asylum in Sweden or Norway and lived there until they got their Swedish or Norwegian passports before coming to London to join their mates. I know horse has bolted all that, but there are a lot more horses behind that stable door.

Re: Living in Leyton
The fact is for a young childless ambitious couple the old east end has plenty to offer.
Although most don't have any connection with the"old times" they just have rich parents who idolise their offspring.
I grew up in Dagenham/ Romford as a product of an East End family that moved on to parstures new.
I now live in Brentwood its nice.

Sadly much of England is now infested with this problem. You have a section of society who are pretty much untouchable and feel they can do anything they like.
The slightest perceived offence entitles them to use extreme violence for the most minor ridiculous thing.
I don't hold out much hope for England, people think brexit will solve this well the people who do the vast majority of stabbing are not EU migrants and let's just leave it there...
